On a side note, make sure you check out our guide on creating your own Custom Desktop Computer Stat Screen like the one shown below. I was quite stressed that the water pump in the cooler was destroyed in transport. I recently transported my build from Europe to Australia via checked luggage and this method worked perfectly.
Before you mount the radiator repeat the process of the first step to make sure any final bubbles have been dislodged. The option that I will walk you through using is a command line tool that doesn’t need to be constantly running in the background, and doesn’t require any internet connection to work. Thankfully, there are open source alternatives available.

Their CAM software on the other hand is slow, bloated and possibly stealing your data. After a decent shake and general move around, reinstall it into your computer starting with the CPU block. NZXT Kraken coolers are awesome for CPUs or GPUs. liquidctl list Device 0: NZXT Smart Device (V1) Device 1: NZXT Kraken X.

Once you have it out, give it a good and proper shake, both the radiator and the CPU block. In this video I will take you through a step by step guide on how to install the NZXT Kraken Z63 & Z73 AIO cooler on both AMD and Intel systems. Cross-platform CLI and Python drivers for AIO liquid coolers and other devices. If this method doesn’t work, make sure your computer is off, then completely remove your NZXT watercooler from your machine. This has been years in the making with the NZXT Kraken support for Linux with this 'nzxt-kraken2' kernel driver.

This driver was developed via reverse-engineering the NZXT Kraken USB protocol. You may have to do this for a minute or so while the computer is running and the pump is on, if you can watch your CPU temps while you do it, you’ll see the moment the pump takes control and the air bubble gets displaced. For those with an KZXT Kraken X42 / X52 / X62 / X72 all-in-one liquid cooling setup, Linux 5.13 should be mainlining this community-maintained driver.

Now turn on your PC and vigorously shake the radiator (without putting any strain on the tubes).
Simply remove the radiator, then hold it above your water block so that the water can flow down into the system easily. The first and easiest way is to unmount the radiator from your system (leave the CPU block mounted). Thankfully air bubbles are easy to fix and there are two ways to go about doing so. If you’ve recently moved your computer or tipped it sideways etc, this is most likely what has caused/moved the air bubble. For example, if you turn on your computer and hear a loud gurgling noise there’s a good chance it’s an air bubble. My setup is NZXT H500 white case with 2x140mm fans as intake and 2x120mm fans as exhaust. In most cases when an NZXT watercooler pump stops working it is because of an air bubble/s trapped in the system. Where as I'd just go X62 over X52 with that little price difference, and I'd only probably go X62 if it had some insane cooling performance as well as something that would entice me such as future proofing for Ryzen 3xxx or 4xxx chips (but i heard AIO are less reliable than air cooling).
I wouldn't mind getting the X42 if that was better than the M22 and H7 by a decent amount.
While I don't mind spending $65 more for Kraken M22 due to its Infinity Mirror gimmick thing over the Cryorig H7, but that would only be if the cooling between them were equal. I am planning on mildly OC my Ryzen 2600. Why water cooling is so appealing to me is because NZXT kraken infinity mirror RGB is mesmerizing and would fit really nicely with my case and colour scheme, also I have a simple mind that makes me assume that water cooling will have much better temps than air cooling.Ĭurrently in my country and currency, the Cryorig H7 Quadlumi is $85 whereas, Kraken M22 is $150, Kraken X42 is $200, Kraken X52 is $270 and Kraken X62 is $290. Why air cooling is so appealing to me is that because its cheap (so much cheaper than aio) and because its low maintenance and I'm nervous about water cooling leaks etc as I have never water cooled before. I am torn between air cooling and water cooling with an aio. I require help figuring out which CPU cooling method would be better.
